Arts Access Aotearoa, a small organisation with a strong national impact, is seeking a communications specialist, able to drive communications and maintain a strong online presence.

This is a varied role, working with a small, effective team in Wellington.

Applications close 5pm Friday 10 April 2015.

Key skills

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

1. At least one year’s experience as a lead communications specialist, able to work in a small-team environment

2. Strong interviewing, writing and editing skills

3. Strong experience using online communication tools and developing their potential: e.g. website, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram

4. Ability to maintain websites and use an email management system (e.g. Campaign Monitor)

5. Ability to make and/or produce short videos

6. Ability to identify and manage communications risk to the organisation

7. Creating, maintaining and developing positive communications with Arts Access Aotearoa staff, partners and stakeholders.

8. Ability to work effectively, respectfully and sensitively in co-operation with others

9. Knowledge of and experience in the cultural sector, particularly in community development and accessible arts practice, would be an advantage.
