J.S. Bach Brandenburg Concerto No.5
J.S. Bach is a central figure for many, many composers, and this concert explores the relationship between Bach and one of his successors.
Arvo Pärt made it through a creative crisis in the 1970s thanks, in part, to Bach, and his affectionate tributes form a counterpoint to two favourite concertos by Johann Sebastian. The APO’s Andrew Beer and Chien-Chun Hung are joined by the Australian keyboard player Kristian Bezuidenhout.
