Board Members for Long Cloud Youth Theatre
Long Cloud Youth Theatre seeks board members.
Long Cloud Youth Theatre is a hothouse for New Zealand’s most exciting young acting talent. Since 2007 Long Cloud has provided significant production-driven platforms and professional training and pathways to develop and empower artists, aged 16 — 25yrs, to create bold, contemporary and innovative theatre that manifests their culture and speaks with their voice. Many Long Cloud company members have gone on to successful professional careers in the performing arts industry and further training establishments such as Toi Whakaari.
In 2018 the Long Cloud Youth Theatre trust was established to support the running of the company. Like the people it serves, Long Cloud is a young trust with big potential. We are seeking new board members with a diverse range of skills to join the board. While experience is preferential, we also hold space for people looking to develop governance skills, with a drive to support rangatahi at the core of our kaupapa.
This voluntary board is passionate about fostering creativity in young people. The role of the board is to support the operations of the Artistic Director, Administrator, and Company through strategy, high-level financial management, fundraising opportunities, and governance.
We are seeking to recruit up to three new board members in 2022. Board commitment is expected to average 1 to 2 hours per week including monthly meetings.
To apply to the Long Cloud Youth Theatre Trust board please send a CV and a letter outlining why you would like to be part of the board and what you could bring to email@example.com.
