Here's the Art Explorers schedule for the October school holidays 2022:

Paper Power

10.30am - 3.30pm Monday 3 October

Explore the amazing art of sculpture and discover that paper can create amazing sculptural shapes as you create your own 3D artwork.

Art Expression

10.30am - 3.30pm Wednesday 5 October

Explore expression in this abstract painting series. Taking inspiration from modern and contemporary paint, we will examine different techniques for creating form and colour, including painting to music, marbling, masking, and chance.

Playing with Pastel

10.30am - 3.30pm Friday 7 October

Soft, hard and oil pastels will be our medium today, with nature being our theme. These bright, colourful materials will create our take-home artwork.

Plush Puppets

10.30am - 3.30pm Monday 10 October

Felt, fur, and stuffing will fly as we create out own soft karetao (puppets) as collaged stuffies. Drawing inspiration from contemporary textile artists Lissy and Rudy Robinson-Cole these tactile creatures are designed to bring joy and delight.

Wallpaper Wonders

10.30am - 3.30pm Wednesday 12 October

Old wallpaper books are our inspiration, as we recycle old papers into an art/craft work.

Surface Tension

10.30am - 3.30pm Friday 14 October

Investigate mark making and repetition through technologies of printing, inking and presses. Create bold a memorable artwork in high contrast colours.
