Tāmaki Makaurau Dance Enquiry Workshop
Nau mai haere mai e te whānau kanikani,
Northern Dance Network and New Zealand Dance Festival Trust (Tempo) are excited to work on a research project that centres around the future well-being of contemporary dance communities of Tāmaki Makaurau.
Are you a dancer? Choreographer? Dance teacher? Producer? Lover of contemporary dance? We warmly invite the contemporary dance communities, and those committed to supporting the innovation of dance in Tāmaki Makaurau to our first in-person creative workshop.
The purpose of this creative workshop is to gather perspectives, ideas and experiences relevant to how dance-makers working in Tāmaki Makaurau can be better resourced.
We hope this workshop will be a regenerative space and you are invited to bring your thoughts and ideas as we enquire into how our city’s dance ecology might be better supported.
We ask that you register your attendance by 12pm 5 October.
If you are interested in this enquiry and it’s outcomes but cannot attend the workshop, please go here and we will keep you updated on this project
The results of this enquiry will help shape career development and practical resources for dance innovators over the next few years.
